(23rd July 2021, Petaling Jaya) In view of 2020-2021, it was a challenging year for all business sectors facing pandemic constraints. The education sector is no exception especially for the private education segment.

The Private Education Entrepreneur Association of Malaysia (PEEAM) will be hosting the 2nd PEEAM Private Education Awards this year to recognise the outstanding education entrepreneurs. This year, PEEAM will also be expanding its Award categories to include Education Business Sustainability, Outstanding Education Centre, Outstanding Education Franchisor, Outstanding Education Licensor, Inspiring Learning Spaces, Outstanding Education Product & Services and Outstanding Virtual Learning.

“We aim to provide continued support to the private education sector and to recognise and honour exceptional entrepreneurs, individuals and organisations who have shown great contributions in leading the education industry throughout the pandemic. The goal is for the awards to become the most credible Private Education Awards in Malaysia,” says Datin Nonadiah Abdullah, Chairman of PEEAM.

PEEAM Private Education Awards seeks to recognise and honour exceptional entrepreneurs, organisations and individuals that have shown great contributions in leading and growing the education industry throughout the pandemic period. The Awards also aims to highlight role models of excellence to inspire others. The goal is to reward the professionals of the industry for their exceptional contribution to the education sector and enhance the public awareness of new, growing and leading education institutions.

Hosted by PEEAM and organised by Uniquecom, PEEAM EduAwards theme – The Shining Edupreneurs is a virtual award ceremony on 4th December, 2021 from 6.00pm to 10.00pm which offers free nomination to private edupreneurs and free admission to visitors.

“The awards consist of seven (7) categories and targeted to all K12 private education institutions ranging from Childcare Centres (TASKA), Kindegartens (Tadika), Daycares (Pusat Jagaan), Tuition, Enrichment Centres, Private Schools and Educational Products and Services. Closing date for nomination is on 30th September 2021 (Thursday), 23:59pm,” says Jeff Tan Chin Horng, the Organising Committee Chairman of PEEAM EduAwards 2021.
